Practical Information for Your Visit to Vänersborgs Museum

Opening hours: 

September - May
Thursday 12 - 7 pm
Friday - Sunday 12 – 4 pm

June - August 
Wednesday - Sunday 12-4 pm
Thursday 12 - 7 pm

Bags and Backpacks at the Museum

Large bags and backpacks are not allowed inside the museum. Handbags and smaller backpacks, up to the size of a school backpack (maximum 40x30x15 cm), are permitted. Bags and backpacks must not be left unattended.

We do not store bags or backpacks in the museum shop.

Strollers

Strollers are not allowed in the exhibitions for safety reasons.

There is a limited number of stroller spaces available in the museum's creative workshop. These must be brought in via the elevator entrance at the back of the museum. Please note that strollers may only be placed in the designated area.

Umbrellas

Umbrellas are not allowed in the exhibitions. They can be stored in an unlocked umbrella stand near the entrance.

Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is available. The network is called "VGR Publikt".

Food and Drink

There are no options for eating at the museum. You can’t buy food here, and it’s not allowed to eat food you’ve brought with you.

Toilets & Baby Changing

There are two toilets in the museum's basement. In the adjacent elevator building's basement, there is a large accessible toilet, which also includes a baby changing table.

Spiked Shoes

Shoes with spikes or built-in cleats are not allowed inside the museum due to our sensitive floors.

Animals

Guide dogs and assistance dogs on duty are welcome. Other animals are not permitted inside.

Photography

Photography is allowed in the museum, but flash is not permitted.

Lost and Found

Lost items are kept for a limited time. Please contact the museum shop at +46 (0)521-600 62, option 1 (only during museum opening hours).
